One of the most exciting RIA (Rich Internet Application) tools available today - Adobe Flex is fully supported by NowData.
Using Adobe Flex Builder 3, we are able to create feature rich Flash Player and Adobe AIR applications that seamlessly integrate with 4D's powerful and economical v11 SQL database.
4D v11 SQL Server can communicate to the Flex client in three different ways:
- Using Web Services and 4D Server's integrated SOAP server.
- Using XML via http.
- Direct binding to the 4D SQL server in binary format1.
Accessing 4D v11 SQL databases using a ubiquitous Flash interface results in large-scale and consistent deployment for all major browsers, desktops, and operating systems!
